I don’t know about Charlotte, but there are definitely places that aren’t wallmart or borders. The south isn’t especially known for their indie scene, but I’m sure you can find the shops you’re looking for. Just google it, or look for record forums based in NC. I’m sure the scene you’re looking for is there, might just not be that big.

Hey, I just found this blog and I am really enjoying it.

I arrived one month ago from Spain, I am living in Charlotte, and I wondered if you could help me with some issues. Is it possible to listen to indie music in clubs or pubs here in the States? How on heaven do they manage not to bring a single interesting concert to this huge city (ok, the Spinto Band are coming in November, but… their new album sucks. Literally) Can you buy records in places other than Borders or Walmart?

Up til now I use internet, but I like going to record shops and searching, to the High Fidelity type ones.

Well, I do not know if somebody will answer, but thanks for the blog. I will keep track of it

I’ll add that there are tons of good songs on A Sun Came!, though. They make up for this song, IMO.
